TYPE II SWAP

The swap requires you do your homework on the differences between the two engines when performing this swap. We know the TYPE II topend is better overall, but when you swap that over the vacuum system needs to be addressed in order for the VIS to work correctly. Type II does away with a few sensors and solenoids. Below are mostly pictures of the differences in vacuum between the two engines.

The TYPE II lacks the pair pipe connection, therefore it will have one less vacuum solenoid. The one closest to the passenger side fender.

Not pictured is the wiring harness. there are three extra wires that function the TCS, I suggest you do not wire the TCS as it is useless if you want to go fast. Remove it from the engine.
